Spiriva Respimat is an inhaler prescribed to treat asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD) and symptoms including shortness of breath, chest tightness, wheezing and coughing. Spiriva contains tiotropium bromide which works by relaxing and opening your air passages which makes breathing easier. Spiriva Respimat is not a rescue inhaler to be used to relieve sudden shortness of breath but needs to be used regularly in order for it to be effective.

What should I do if I miss a dose of Spiriva?
If you miss a dose of Spiriva, you should take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip your missed dose. Do not use Spiriva more than twice in a 24-hour period.
How long does it take Spiriva to work?
It can take between four and eight weeks to feel the effect of Spiriva Respimat.
