Combivent is a combination inhaler which contains the medications ipratropium and albuterol. Combivent is prescribed to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and its symptoms including chest tightness, breathing difficulties, coughing and wheezing. Both ipratropium and albuterol are bronchodilator medications which prevent the tightening and narrowing of your airways which makes breathing easier for you.
