What is Combipatch?

Combipatch is a medication patch which contains estradiol and norethindrone acetate. Combipatch is prescribed to treat the symptoms of menopause such as vaginal dryness, itching or burning and hot flashes. Combipatch can also be used to treat a lack of estrogen caused by ovarian failure, removal of the ovaries or hypogonadism.

Always read the medication information and instructions before using this medication.
Always follow your doctor’s directions.

  • Peel off the back of your patch and apply it to a clean, dry area of your lower stomach. Do not apply to broken, oily or irritated skin.
  • Press down on the patch for approximately ten seconds and make sure it is placed securely.
  • Combipatch patches are typically changed twice a week. When changing your patch, apply it to a different area and wait at least a week before applying a patch to the same area.
  • If your Combipatch comes off, reapply the same patch to a new area. If it doesn’t stick completely, replace it with a new patch and wear it for the remainder of your scheduled period.
  • Do not expose your patch to sunlight for extended periods of time.
